Plan With Me: September 2017
It's a new month and that means it's time for a new Plan With Me post! September is the start of autumn where I live so I'm embracing the new season with an autumn themed spread. If you're new to Bullet Journaling, I suggest you check out www.bulletjournal.com and/or my August Plan With Me post.
I really like how my cover page/brain dump page turned out with this combination of fonts. I usually do a lot of calligraphy so this was a nice change.
For the past few months, I've been journaling a few lines a day but in August I found it hard to keep up with. It seems silly that I couldn't find time to write just a few sentences each day, but I often found myself forgetting to do it for a couple days in a row. For this month, I decided to switch it up and try doing a slightly longer journal entry once a week. I think this will be easier to fit into my schedule since I'm already in the habit of drawing my weekly spread each Sunday evening. I think I can tack on a few minutes of journalling to that time pretty easily.
I'm still loving the vertical monthly layout but I changed my content calendar a bit. I've been finding it hard to plan my blog posts too far in advance because things like brand collaborations and guests posts come up which affect the schedule. I decided to just plan one month at a time and keep a general list of topics I want to write about in the upcoming months without committing myself to an exact schedule too far ahead.
The only change to my habit, chore, and expense trackers this month is that I divided my habit tracker by week. I like the idea of getting a fresh start every week and trying to fill in as many squares as possible. I think dividing it this way will also help me keep track of things like how many exercise rest days I'm getting per week.
I chose a to do a minimal weekly spread to start the month since I'd been drawing at an awkward angle for too long and my shoulder was starting to hurt! I'd never done this type of spaced out lettering before and I'm really happy with how it turned out. I think this is a spread I'll recycle in a few months time.
And that's it for the start of September! I'm hoping to have a low-key month since the summer was really busy for me with lots of work and travel. That being said, I would like to get out of the city and do some traditional fall activities like hiking and apple picking. I think this year I'll finally get around to making my grandmother's apple pie! What do you have planned for September?
