Plan With Me: February
February is just a few days a way which means it's time for another Plan With Me. I love setting up my bullet journal each month because it feels like a fresh start every time. I'm really liking the overall layouts I've been using lately so instead of changing them, I tried to play around more with different lettering styles to spice things up.
I love how minimal my brain dump and monthly layout pages are for February. I'd originally planned on adding some doodles but I couldn't bring myself to add anything since this looks so clean and simple. For my accent colour I used a Tombow Dual Brush Pen in #761.
One big change this month is that I've decided to start tracking all of my expenses in addition to the joint expenses that need to be reconciled each month. I've been wanting to revisit my budget and savings goals now that I've been freelancing for almost a year and feel settled in my work. So, I think that tracking ALL my expenses is a good place to start. I'm not going to lie though, I am kind of dreading finding out exactly how much money I waste in coffee shops!
Finally I have February's first weekly spread and, I have to admit, I'm kind of bummed that I don't get to use this layout for another week. (The first few days of February are included in my last January weekly which you can see on my Instagram.) I'm still really loving my time trackers to track my work hours and I've added sections on the edges so that I can write in the totals for each day and for the entire week. I also much prefer having a journaling section in my weekly spread as opposed to on a separate page. I find I'm much more likely to journal this way when the reminder is staring me in the face.
Now that we're really in the swing of 2018 I really want to tackle some big picture projects this month. I'll be looking for a place to start volunteering in my community, which was one of my New Year's resolutions, and I've also given myself the goal of decluttering my makeup and jewelry collections before March arrives. It may seem silly, but those are the little tasks that never seem to get done since they are out of sight and out of mind.
What do you have planned this month?
