Fall Beauty Favourites

fall beauty favourites

Before I get too carried away with Christmas content, it's time to stop and take a moment to reflect on my fall favourites. With the holiday season finally here, I almost forget to say goodbye to autumn! But it wouldn't be a change of season without a classic round-up of seasonal favourites so here we go...

La Roche Posay Effaclar Duo

I heard about this product from a few beauty YouTubers and I knew right away I had to try it. This product is great if you're prone to breakouts as it both heals and prevents. I definitely noticed that it helped heal my blemishes faster without drying out my skin. It works both on its own and under makeup to protect the skin from the pore-clogging effects of foundation. The Effaclar Duo also comes in a tinted version but with only two shades on offer, I couldn't find a good match for my fair complexion.

Laritzy Silicone Makeup Blender

This came in a beauty box subscription and I was skeptical at first since I usually prefer brushes over beauty blenders. However, when I realized that this product is silicone and not a sponge, I was instantly hooked. The silicone makes it super easy to wash so I feel much better about using it on my skin than either a brush or a sponge with can absorb and hold onto dirt and bacteria. It takes a bit of practice to use and isn't quite as straightforward as a traditional brush or beauty blender, but the cleanliness factor makes it totally worth it for me.

Aveeno 60 Second In Shower Facial

I wrote a whole review in my last blog post about the Aveeno at-home facial line so I won't reiterate too much here. Suffice to say that this product gives me a quick and easy way to pamper my skin while I'm in the shower, without adding an extra step to my beauty routine.

Revlon Nail Polish in Revlon Red

Autumn always means the return of cold-weather nail colours and for me that means a classic red. I was surprised to go through my stash this September and find that I didn't have the shade I was looking for! Unable to remember what it was called, I took a guess and opted for "Revlon Red". I have to say I think I got lucky because this is the perfect classic red that's not too orange and not too blue. I've been wearing this all season and I plan on letting it carry me through the holidays as well.

Have you tried any of these products? What are your beauty favourites this season?
