This includes junk drawers, air filters, toilet handles, television remotes, and ceiling fans.
A calendar will make it easier for you to keep track of everything you need to do. You should put this calendar on the side of your refrigerator or somewhere easily accessible. This also helps prevent an assembly line of post-it notes scattered everywhere.
Use the 5-Minute Rule
It can be easy for you to ignore small tasks that need to be done. It may seem better for you to do a simple task at a later date. However, procrastination can make your life a lot more stressful. If you keep putting things off, then you will eventually have a whole list of tasks that you have to complete in a short amount of time.
That is why the ‘5-minute rule’ can be a lifesaver. If there is a task that you can complete in 5 minutes, then you should go ahead and do it now. As the rule says, it will only take 5 minutes or less and that’s hardly anytime at all.
Keep What You Need
Clutter can make it harder for you to keep your home clean. That is why it's a good idea to get rid of everything you don't need. If you have clothing that you haven't worn in a long time, then it might be safe to say it's time to donate it. You should also go through the drawers that have random papers and junk in them. (We all have that one junk drawer.) Throwing away clutter that's no longer needed can take a huge weight off your shoulders and help create a crisp organized feeling in your home.
Clean as You Go
It can take you a long time to get into the habit, but cleaning as you go will make your life a lot easier. Cleaning as you go will save you time because it will only take a few minutes out of your day.
For example, you can wash up your dishes after every meal. You can also spend a few minutes wiping down your kitchen after a meal. It’s a good idea to wipe down your bathroom each time that you take a shower. Additionally, you can do your laundry every week.
It can be challenging to keep a home clean and crisp. However, it is definitely worth the effort. Not only will your home look better, but you can also improve your health. Furthermore, cleaning and maintaining a crisp organized home can do wonders for your happiness.
