There's something about fall that makes me feel like it's time to break out the plaid shirts. Maybe it's because I'm Canadian! Today I'm sharing three different ways to wear a plaid shirt that are all perfect for the changing seasons.
Instead of the Canadian cliché of blue jeans and red plaid, I like this slightly more urban and edgier version with black-and-white plaid and ripped black jeans. I also love the way a silver heel makes those classic boots a little more special. Sweep on some winged eyeliner and you're good to go!
When I want a slightly dressier look without going too formal, I like to tuck a plaid button down into a high waisted skirt. This is a look that can work for everything from a day at the office to a weekend brunch with your girlfriends.
A look that I haven't tried myself yet but that I've seen a lot of bloggers rocking is a long plaid shirt worn open over a lacy white dress. I love the contrast between fabrics and the mix of formal and informal pieces. It's an unexpected outfit but I've loved it whenever I've seen it on other blogs so I'm excited to try it myself.
What are some of your favourite fall pieces? Which of these three looks is your favourite?
