3 Ways To Save Money At Sephora
I love going to Sephora, but every time I go I have to prepare myself. If I don't set a pretty strict budget or limit myself to a specific shopping list, it's far too easy to spend way more than I intended.
Over the years, I've figured out a few other ways to save some serious money at Sephora and take advantage of everything they have to offer.
1. Take Advantage Of Free Samples - If you're unsure about how a foundation will wear or how it will look in natural light, ask for a sample to take home. The consultants there will be happy to put together a little pot for you so you can try some of the products out for yourself before committing to a purchase. I've saved myself from making many a wrong purchase by taking home some samples. And if you like the product, you've got a few days worth of free makeup! I've even been known to make a free sample last a week or two before going back to buy the product.
2. Shop the Miniature Section - I recently discovered the miniature section at Sephora and it's my new favourite thing! It takes me SO long to go through most regular sized products anyway that I'm more than happy to save some money by buying smaller versions. So many popular products are available in mini that it's totally worth spending some extra time in that section. For an idea of what you can buy in tiny size, check out my Mini Sephora Haul.
3. Don't Be Afraid To Return Products - Recently I realized that most people have no idea that you can return makeup! I mentioned to some friends that I've returned lots of products before and they expressed some doubt that it was possible as well as some guilt over the idea in general. I say: Don't feel guilty! If they sold you a mascara with the promise of a glorious smudge-free life and you look in the mirror at 2pm to discover you're doing a really good impersonation of a racoon, there is no reason for you not to get your money back! Keep your receipts because you can return any product for an exchange or full refund within 30 days. After 30 days you can get an exchange or store credit so keep those receipts somewhere safe!
