Martinis are my drink of choice when I want something strong that I can sip slowly. I've always been a vodka fan and I like any drink that comes with a tiny snack, so a dirty martini is one of my main go-to's.
Plus, it makes you seem adult and sophisticated if you can drink something that is pretty much pure vodka and live to tell the tale.
Everyone makes their martinis a little differently, but here's how I like to do it:
In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass add ice, 2.5 oz vodka, a dash of dry vermouth, and a little splash of green olive brine. Stir until it's as cold as cold can be and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with green olives. (I like to throw three olives in there because, like I said, I enjoy snacks with my cocktails.)
The key with this is to not add too much brine. I made that mistake once and spent the rest of the night dying of thirst from all the salt in my drink!
