Hello December! I am so excited to be officially in the Christmas season and I am also proud to say that I'm almost done my Christmas shopping. I've never been this organized before but I really wanted to avoid the December crowds and have a relaxing month off from school. But before we can really start talking about the holidays, we have to say goodbye to November with a monthly favourites post.
Clarins Gentle Peeling Smooth Away Cream - If you read my October Favourites you know how much I love Clarins moisturizer. When I went to restock on my face cream this month they gave me a sample of their Gentle Peeling Exfoliant and I fell in love. This might be my favourite skincare product of all time. I exfoliated once with this product and I can honestly say my skin hasn't looked this good in years. It's incredibly soft and glowing and it's also so much clearer. I noticed such a dramatic difference after just one use that I'm definitely going to be purchasing the full-size of this one as soon as my sample runs out.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder in Dim Light - I'm really into low-maintenance makeup right now. Since I'm spending most of my time writing from my home office, I can't be bothered to spend tons of time on blush and bronzer and contour and highlight. This Hourglass powder has been my go-to lifesaver for low-maintenance days (aka: almost every day this past month). I have the shade Dim Light which is the perfect bronzy-pink to give my face a healthy bit of colour. I just dust it on with a big powder brush and I'm good to go.
Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara - A travel-size of this mascara came in my November Topbox subscription. I was excited to try it since I love Smashbox but have never bought their mascara. This has quickly become my daily mascara because it's so quick and easy to apply. The brush is larger than some other mascaras I've used so I was worried at first about making a mess but the size and shape of the tapered brush makes it so easy to apply mascara super fast.
Misslyn 60sec Top Dry - I bought this topcoat because it claimed to dry your nails in 60secs. To be honest, I didn't think that was possible and I wanted to see if this brand could live up to such a bold claim. Turns out they can! I don't know if it's exactly 60 seconds, but my nails have never tried so fast. This topcoat also helps your nail-colour last longer. I painted my nails on a Monday and on Saturday I was still getting compliments on my chip-free manicure.
Have you tried any of these products? What have you been loving lately?
