Men's Fashion 4 Hope
As many of you know, I've been away from Toronto for what feels like ages. I've been soaking up the ocean air on the East Coast, eating buckets of seafood, and preparing for the next phase of my life. The phase when I officially start calling myself a "writer".
I've got a few maritime blog posts coming up, but first I have to write about my re-emersion into urban living last night at Toronto Men's Fashion Week.
Having just landed back in the city, I swept on some red lipstick and dashed out the door, just in time for the lights to go up on the runway.
MensFashion4Hope is a charity fashion show which raises money for the Kol Hope Fund at SickKids Hospital. The Kol Fund supports children with congenital diseases and disabilities. Local Toronto celebrities including actors, musicians, and politicians took to the runway in support of this great cause. Unlike a traditional fashion show, these gentlemen really let their personalities shine and got the crowd laughing and clapping for more than the clothes. Michael LeFave, Editorial & Creative Director of Sharp Magazine, stole the show when he pulled a woman from the audience onto the runway for a big finale kiss.
The handsome gentlemen were all styled by MensFashion4Hope sponsor GOTSTYLE, a fabulous menswear store with locations at Bathurst & Wellington and in the Distillery District. After seeing what was on display last night, I'll definitely be stopping by the next time I need a stylish gift for one of the men in my life.

I have to stay, it's good to be back in the big city!
