Eye-Catching: October 2015

Canadian Thanksgiving has come and gone which means that we're officially well into the fall season. In preparation for increasingly colder temperatures I've rounded up my favourite looks for October.

I seem to have developed a recent obsession with suede. This shearling coat is great for the upcoming colder days, and I love the mix of textures in this suede colour blocked t-shirt. It may have short sleeves but the heavier fabrics make it perfect for the changing seasons.

I bought this nude eye shadow palette by Makeup Forever at Sephora about two months ago and it instantly became the favourite thing in my makeup drawer. The nine shadows are organized into three looks: natural, chic, and smokey. I honestly use this almost every single day.

My number one October nail colour is inspired by a fashionista on a British TV show I binge watched this month. This glamorous character wore a deep purple nail colour for almost a whole season and now I'm inspired to follow suit.

I'm a little stumped on how to dress for work in the winter. I have to look reasonably professional without freezing my toes off, so I'm exploring the idea of the sweater-dress. Maybe with the right shoes and accessories this brown dress can be both professional and warm enough to wear at work. And I like the idea of being able to show a little skin in the middle of winter like with this white number

Do any of the real grownups out there have tips for the perfect winter work wardrobe?
