Currently November

Simply making it to the end of November has been my primary goal for the last three months. This semester has been jam-packed and knowing that my last deadline is at the end of this month has been the light at the end of my scholarly tunnel since September. Now that it's almost here, I'm so happy to say that I only have two more small assignments and then I'm done! November is usually a grey and dreary month but the sun has been shining almost every day in the last two weeks and I'm close to meeting my last deadlines so I'm feeling good!

Watching: Anyone who knows me know that there is only one show I could possibly be watching right now: The Crown. I love historical dramas and I'm really enjoying this one about the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. The sets and costumes are gorgeous and the acting is incredible. I'm trying super hard not to binge-watch it since there are only ten episodes and I want them to last. Of course, as soon as November 25th hits I will be watching nothing but the Gilmore Girls revival. I'm so excited I can't even put it into words. All I can say is #TeamLogan.

Reading: Ugh, I've been so bad! I wanted to get all caught up on my back issues of Vanity Fair but I'm not doing very well... I finished September but I'm only halfway through October and another issue just arrived in my mailbox putting me behind again. I'm also doing a really terrible job of reading Bad Feminist by Roxane Gay. I keep trying but I'm just not hooked in by her writing or by the content... which is really disappointing because I thought I would love it. Does anyone else have terrible reading months?

Listening to: Lately I've been finding myself switching back and forth between Mumford & Sons and Fleetwood Mac. I have no idea why, but I'm really into this folky-retro vibe right now. Do you ever rediscover a band you used to listen to and wonder why you stopped playing their albums in the first place? That's how I feel about Fleetwood Mac right now. I also went to see a local indie band called Provincial Lines at the Dakota Tavern this week and got really into their stuff. Check them out here

Working on: My last two school assignments, woohoo! I'm hoping to be done those early next week which is slightly ahead of schedule. Once I've finished the semester I've got a long list of household things to do that I haven't had time for while school was in session. Little things like cleaning out my closet and organizing my pantry are two of my projects for the rest of the month so that I can go into the holiday season with a fresh clean slate.

Dreaming of: Christmas! I don't usually get excited this early but I'm already feeling the festive spirit this year. I'm starting to brainstorm what holiday baking I want to do and I've already got some Christmas gifts picked out... now I just have to buy them and wrap them!

How is your November so far? Any good book recommendations for me? And the most important question of all: Are you on Team Logan, Jess, or Dean?
