After seeing lots of American bloggers unboxing their Sephora beauty subscription boxes, I was eager to sign myself up. Sadly, many many subscription services are only available to United States residents. But after some research, I found Topbox: a Canadian beauty subscription box!
I love trying new products and I think this is such a fun and cost-effective way to do it. A Topbox subscription is only $12 per month and they carry loads of high-end brands. The products I got this month definitely total over $12 in value so you get a lot more bang for your buck as they say.
Here's what was in my October Topbox:
Delectable Ultra Nourishing Hand Cream - The weather is starting to get cold here and I can't seem to get enough hand cream in the winter-time. I really like the coconut-vanilla scent of this cream and the size is perfect for throwing in my handbag or tucking into my nightstand drawer. It's also free of paragons, phthalates, GMOs, and sodium chloride. I needed a new cream for this season so this is perfect!
Benefit Cosmetics POREfessional Primer - I've heard great things about this primer and have wanted to try it for awhile so I was super excited to find it in my Topbox! Even though I'm definitely not expecting full-size products from a beauty subscription service, I do with this sample was a little bigger. When it comes to skincare, I like to try a product for a week or two to see how my skin reacts to it, and I don't think this little sample will last that long.
Amika Perk Up Dry Shampoo - I've never used Dry Shampoo but always wanted to give it a try. Why haven't I tried it before? Simply just because I would always forget to buy it and didn't really know what brand to try. But now that I've got some dry shampoo of my very own I've got no more excuses! My hair takes forever to wash and dry so this could be excellent for those days when I'm running short on time and need a quick freshen up.
Ceramic Glaze Nail Lacquer in Shell Me About It - This full-size product alone costs $11 so that just goes to show what a good value beauty subscription boxes can be. I'm trying to branch out my nail polish choices but I always end up going back to the same two or three shades of red. I don't think I would have been adventurous enough to pick up this colour in the store so I'm excited to try something outside my comfort zone.
